The German philosopher Friedrich von Schelling (1775-1854) wrote: "Mind sleeps in stone, dreams in the plant, awakes in the animal and becomes conscious in man."

It is this consciousness that is expressed in my abstract paintings through subtle layers of colors , play of textures, forms and constant experimentation. The abstractness of my works allows me express the essence of human consciousness, without having to limit it through a fixed idea or form. The need to understand and express what this human existence is all about is the adventure of my artistic journey.
