“All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better,” said Ralph Waldo Emerson and that’s the way I live and paint! I am constantly experimenting in my life as well in my Art. Over the years my Art style has changed as I constantly experimented with new concepts of creativity.
To me my life is a constant adventure! As Eleanor Roosevelt said it so eloquently, “The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
Traveling the world, one of my biggest passion, has enriched and expanded my life vision in ways that I could have never imagined. Diving into the depths of the ocean and overcoming my fear of water, by becoming a certified deep sea diver… A salsa dancer, jumping off the plane, going hiking in the mountains, walking in the wild forest of India, surrounded by tigers and wild elephants… “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread ” could have very well been written about me! 🙂 All these adventures and more sum up my life. I want to live my life fully and intensely, so that at the end I can say, I truly lived and not just survived!
All the adventure, fun, craziness, passion and boldness becomes part of my Art as well. I am a seeker, adventurer, curious about life, investigator of human behavior and everything that intrigues my awareness of who I am in relation to this world. Including the whole Universe with its galaxies, stars and planets have an irresistible magnetic pull over me. I am drawn to it like a bee to honey! And this fascination with the Universe is ever so often reflected in my paintings. Many an evening I lie in my hammock on my porch starring at the stars and dreaming of what lies beyond the darkness and if there is life in this vastness of Universe apart from us humans on earth.
And then… there is my internal Universe. I often dive within myself while meditating to discover what lays hidden within myself! Is there another gateway within me that will lead me onto a new adventure or a discovery of hidden worlds? Is there a different dimension beyond the five senses? My Art reflects this adventure as well and it is also at times a form of meditation, where my mind settles down and I am led down the rabbit hole…where I discover unknown treasures. 😉
Welcome to my world and thank you for taking a look at it! And maybe, just maybe, you might discover a new world here! Namaste! 🙂
