As far as he can remembers, Hugues de Vendôme has always been a creative. Drawing, writing and imagination, the three essential facets of his passionate personality.
After studying art as well as a fine art school in Paris, he turned to the world of communication, pushed by his entourage who found this way more reassuring. Several advertising agencies lead him from simple model maker to artistic director for titles of golf magazines.
In 2006, he created his own company "Neko Communication". It is in this agency that he specializes in his fields of predilections, art and luxury. He met important brands like Bayer or Subaru, but it was especially his meeting with the "Galleries Bartoux" that reminded him his attachment to Art. He met some of the great names in the contemporary art world for whom he truly admired, he visited some of their studios, produced their art books and other documents necessary for the exhibitions. It is the artist Pierre Chazelat who encourages him to reconnect with painting.
Hugues de Vendôme is inspired by Jackson Pollock and the force of evocation of his work to demonstrate that abstract art has a meaning, but contrary to the figurative in which it is given, the spectator must find it by himself.
He describes his paintings as an illustration of the inevitability of a life. "It is like a thread whose linearity is distorted by the hazards it encounters. Go to an end that everyone knows but whose journey is unknown. Each trait that Hugues de Vendome paints is the path of an uncertain destiny, which chance deforms and diverts from the choice of initial route, and this is the beauty of his paintings, like that of life, this uncertainty Which, with the necessary distance, makes it unique and magnificent.
Love, its favorite theme, is the most striking example of this. Feelings are multiplied. Every hesitation, hope and disappointment have a primary, visceral strength and importance. And this is what he wants to express by his fine and lively movements, enhanced by the brilliant elegance of brilliant reflections, the unique signature of his work.
