My main volition is to paint »LIVING PAINTINGS«.

I see the art of painting as a way to harness thoughts and to ground the objects and the world around me on the basis of a dialectical relatonship between the spiritual-conceptual and the physical-material, which is established by transposing the concrete empirical matter into its visual articulation.

Paintings are exposures (»fotos«) of the inside. Their starting point is peace, energy – and their process engages the accumulation of spontaneous events within the painting itself. This ends when the result are finally viewed on the surface of the finished work. The consequence of distinction between source and production is that there IS a moment in which the painting achieves independent existence, and that it CAN in itself achieve a specific and passive state which surpasses temporality.

The creative act of painting is not only a journey to the inside but also a problematisation of reality as a settled form of picturedness. The function of artistic perception is therefore not just to be in the world and to search for solutions within one's own inner reality; at the same time it renders conscious the dialectical weaving together of certain situational and phenomenal worlds.
