I am presenting a conceptual approach to painting utilizing painted strapping, along with attachment rings and rivets, to form a recognizable image. The released straps are highlighted to raise them away from the black straps. Continuing the strapping onto the canvas side edges extends the picture plane beyond two dimensions and solidifies the concept. An overall tension is established that challenges the viewer's perception, this achieved by applying acrylic paint on canvas.
