Cormorants: Dancing in the rain
by Susan Willemse

Description:

Cormorants like to dry their feathers with wings open after diving for food, they do this even in the rain, but all birds do not like wind or water on their tail feathers unexpectedly so this is typical behaviour when the weather changes. These two Cormorants were sharing a log with the resident turtles and the water lilies and the half-submerged branch made for excellent perching while the pecking order was established.
