Currawongs and autumn leaves
by Susan Willemse

Description:

Currawongs are stunning Australian birds that have incredible yellow eyes, glossy black feathers with white tips and a alert nature. This artwork shows three in a Persimmon tree that has leaves tuned to a golden/ orange autumn color. They are found in abundance when the fruit is ripe to eat which is where the inspiration for this work came from, they happen to be outside the artist's studio window and their calls are very distinct and bell-like!
