This artwork shows a typical pair of Australia's Emus with their large, round, fiery eyes. It is the father Emu that looks after all the chicks hatched from their emerald green eggs, so he looks a little more weathered and feathery. The red desert sand and the blue sky of Australia's landscapes is reflected in the colors chosen for the background. These are large, flightless comical birds that have the Cassowary, Rhea, and ostrich as relatives. They make deep throated sounds unique to Australia as well.
