Sulphur- crested Cocakatoo: Is anyone home?
by Susan Willemse

Description:

Sulphur-crested cockatoos are seen spreading their wings and screeching in gum trees as this one is doing. What is happening is that they are looking for nesting hollows that are sometimes occupied already, giving them quite a fright. They can also just do this to display and be general clowns but it is amazing to walk in the bush and see all these antics happening.
