Tawny Frogmouth
by Susan Willemse

Description:

Tawny Frogmouths are Australia's ultimate camouflage birds, they are hard to see even when you looking straight at them because they pretend to be a branch and they can maintain these positions for quite a while with head held skywards and eyes closed, it is only when they open their eyes that you realize that you have spotted a Tawny Frogmouth. This is a small portrait of one Tawny who did open his eyes.
