Starling —

This artwork shows a Starling standing in a pool of golden water, my thoughts of water being more precious than gold, reflections, the beauty of birds and yes nature at its muddiness best inspired this artwork. The original photograph of this bird can be seen on my website, it was used as the reference for this work. This little Starling seemed almost to be thoughtful and as such has acquired some human-like qualities, Starling feathers are indeed stunning in the detail and colors (purple, green and blues) that can be seen. I am glad this Starling stood still for us so we could take the photograph!
